Johnnie Lee Davidson Sr., 80, of the 500 block of Morris Ford Road, died Dec. 8, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Davidson, a retired security guard and farmer, worked for the Roanoke Chowan Hospital. He was a native of Bertie County, N.C., and a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church, Colerain, where he was a deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Hoggard Davidson; a daughter, Rebecca D. Mann of Murfreesboro, N.C.; three sons, Johnnie Lee Davidson Jr. of Portsmouth, L. Edward Davidson of Chester, Va., and Howard C. Davidson of Colerain; three sisters, Ruth Archer of Colerain, Amanda Pridgen of Ahoskie, N.C., Evelyn White of Portsmouth; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Mars Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Hines Adams. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie. The family will receive friends at the home. Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is in charge.
