Odell Turner ``Mama Dell'' Edwards, 89, of 12479 Courthouse Highway, died Friday, Dec. 8, 1995, in Riverside Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Suffolk, a homemaker, and the widow of Perlie L. Edwards. Mrs. Edwards was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church, where she was a member of the T.E.L. Sunday school class and the Warren and Frances Taylor Missionary Circle.
Survivors include three daughters, Irene Edwards Young, Frances Edwards Wiley and Kathryn Edwards Turner, all of Smithfield; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Donald R. Rhoton officiating. Interment will follow in Ivy Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home and suggests memorial contributions may be made to Smithfield Baptist Church, Building Fund, or the Memorial Scholarship Fund, 100 Wainwright Drive, Smithfield Va. 23430.
