Joyce Carroll Garner, 61, died Dec. 8, 1995, at the home of her sister.
She was a native of Richmond and a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Ruby Nichols Garner; a sister, Frances Garner Drewry and her husband, Charlie, of Wakefield; two nephews, Paul W. Drewry and David T. Drewry and his wife, Becky; one niece, Susan D. Cox and her husband, Rex; two great-nephews, Charles Drewry and John Drewry; and one great-niece, Ashley Cox. She was the daughter of the late George Thomas Garner.
Funeral services will be held in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Randy Duncan. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Frances and Charlie Drewry, 106 Sylvan Road, Wakefield, and will receive friends at the fellowship hall of the Wakefield United Methodist Church following the service. Memorial donations may be made to the church or the American Cancer Society, Sussex Unit.
