Emma Machen Brooks, 67, of the 5100 block of Deep Creek Blvd., died Dec. 7, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Brooks, a homemaker, was a native of Norfolk. She was the widow of Daniel E. Brooks.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra F. Tyre of Lake City, Fla., and Judith M. Kennedy of Wakefield, Va.; five sons, Ronnie E. Brooks of Charleston, S.C., Douglas M. Brooks of Charleston, Gary L. Brooks of Kentucky, David S. Brooks of Salisbury, N.C., Arthur E. Brooks of Portsmouth; a sister, Frances Sawyer of Chesapeake; a brother, James Machen of Chesapeake; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded by two sons, Daniel Wayne and Roland Brooks.
The funeral services will be private. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, in charge.
