Mary Frances ``Mato'' Johnson, of the 1100 block of West 38th St., died Dec. 7, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Johnson, a operating room aide, worked for Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was a native of Norfolk and a member of First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, Norfolk. She was formerly with Usher Board (NU)1.
Survivors include her husband, George Edward Johnson Sr.; two sons, Anderson Oneal Wood and George E. Johnson Jr., both of Norfolk; a brother, Leonard Brickhouse Jr. of Norfolk; a stepbrother, Elbert Lee Taylor of Franklin; four grandchildren; and one godchild, Blanche Hughes of Philadelphia.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, by the Rev. Anthony C. Paige. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Sunday. The remains will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Monday. The family will assemble at the residence for the procession at 11 a.m. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, in charge.
