An armed man who was shot after threatening police officers Thursday has been charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors, authorities said Friday.
Robert N. Bellis, 43, who was still in the hospital Friday, was shot three times in a confrontation with police after Bellis fired a handgun at his estranged wife's home. No one inside was hurt.
Bellis, of the 1800 block of Olympic Drive in the Lake Placid section, was charged with shooting into an occupied house and shooting from a moving vehicle. He was also charged with violating a protective order to stay away from his wife and children, and with brandishing a gun at the police officers.
