Wilma Nurney Bryant, 84, of 22101 Main St., died Dec. 9, 1995.
She was a lifelong resident of Southampton County, and was the daughter of the late William Waverly and Mae Gray Nurney. Mrs. Bryant was a retired clerk in the Courtland ASCS Office. She was a member of the Courtland United Methodist Church and its Ladies Bible Class.
She is survived by her husband, Gillette T. Bryant Sr.; a daughter, Mary Betty Vaughan; a son, Gillette T. Bryant Jr.; two sisters, Nellie Ballard and Margaret Magette, all of Courtland; six grandchildren, Ricky Vaughan, Keith Vaughan, Toni Joyner, Kira Fox, Jenny Drake and G.T. Bryant III; eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Anita V. Foster.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Riverside Cemetery by the Rev. John Wimer and James P. Councill III. The family will receive friends at the residence, and suggests memorials be made to the Courtland United Methodist Church or the Courtland Rescue Squad. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
