REMOVE IGNORED SIGNS

The Hampton Boulevard/Brambleton Avenue entrance to the Midtown Tunnel and its environs are an enigma.

To satisfy Ghent residents, Norfolk city planners have put up signs prohibiting right/left hand turns in the afternoon. The police department lacks sufficient officers to monitor the situation at the HOV area of the Midtown Tunnel.

People break into line and ignore the HOV-3 rule. It is frustrating to see people blatantly ignoring the signs and making the turns. I have even seen police cars in these areas while the turns are being made and nothing being done.

If the police cannot be spared and the people continue to ignore the signs, remove the signs.
