At left, 3-year-old Corey O'Neal, riding a float, waves to
onlookers who were enjoying the second annual ``Restore The Pride On
The Southside'' parade held Saturday in Berkley and Campostella.
Above, a group from St. Mark United Church of Christ marches in the
parade. With the temperature around 35 degrees, an estimated 3,000
people lined streets in Berkley and Campostella to watch the
110-unit procession. ``Everyone was hugging one another, not a cross
word,'' parade founder Elwood ``Coach'' Williams said. ``Spirits
were high. This was a success.'' The parade went off as scheduled at
10 a.m., but the planned Christmas Village carnival at Berkley Park
was canceled due to threatening skies. by CNB
