Cecil Elephew Carter, 88, formerly of the 2900 block of E. Princess Anne Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 1995 in Fort Myers, Fla.
He was a retired machinist for Norfolk Naval Air Station and was a native of Hertford, N.C. Mr. Carter was the widower of Louise Hill Carter and a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Cecil F. Carter of Cape Coral, Fla.; and grandchild, Mariel L. Carter of Chicago.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Cedric Kirkland-Harris in Bank Street Memorial Church. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 7 p.m.
