A naval officer has been temporarily reassigned following allegations from an enlisted woman of sexual harassment.
The officer, assigned to Fleet Logistics Squadron 40 at the Norfolk Naval Air Station, is alleged to have violated orders and is accused of conduct unbecoming an officer.
The Navy began an investigation after the woman made the complaint to squadron officials recently. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the officer could be exonerated, given administrative punishment or court-martialed.
The officer, who was not identified, is not a pilot, nor is he married, said a spokesman. The charge did not involve physical assault, the spokesman said.
