Russell Delver Ackiss, 68, of the 100 block of Louisiana Drive, died Dec. 13, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Ackiss, a retired maintenance supervisor, worked at Bondale Apartments, a management property of Drucker and Faulk Inc., for 47 years. He was a native of Norfolk, and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Ackiss; four daughters, Carol Ann Becker and JoAnne McGuire, both of Chesapeake, and Audrey Kay Woodlief and Gwendolyn L. Kemp, both of Norfolk; three sons, Thomas D. Ackiss of Virginia Beach, Marshall E. Ackiss of Portsmouth and Terry E. Ackiss of Norfolk; his mother, Eva Dudley Ackiss of Chesapeake; three sisters, Lucille Myers of Franklin, Shirley Starcher of Norfolk and Margie Miller of Chesapeake; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Pastor Dale Burden. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
