Emmett Nelson Taliaferro Jr., 49, of the 200 block of LaSalle Ave., died Dec. 17, 1995.
Mr. Taliaferro was born in Martinsville, Va. He was a former staff member in the Student Affairs division at Hampton University and also a former pastor of the Mt. Moriah A.M.E. Church of Ebron, Va.
Survivors include his son, Emmett N. Taliaferro III, a student at Hampton University; two sisters, Brenda T. Annwine and her husband, Billy C. Annwine of Rockville, Md., Cecelia T. Tucker and her husband, B.J. Tucker, M.D. of Virginia Beach; four nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1995, at Bethel A.M.E. Church with Rev. S.E. Haywood officiating. Interment will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel and two hours prior to the service Wednesday at the church. The family will receive friends at the church from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Arrangements by Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.
