A double shooting left one man dead and another wounded Monday night in the Brambleton section of the city, police spokesman Larry Hill said.
The shootings occurred at 7:28 p.m. in the 1400 block of E. Olney Road. One of the victims, a 29-year-old man, was found nearby in the 800 block of Marshall Ave. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he died a short time later, Hill said.
The second victim was found in the 1500 block of E. Brambleton Ave. He was listed in stable condition at Sentara Norfolk General late Monday night.
Neither man's name was released. Hill said both men were together at the time of the shootings and did not shoot each other. They were found after fleeing from the site of the shootings, he said.
Police have no suspects and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Line at 664-4040.
