George Alfred ``Ba-Rat'' Heart, 52, of the 1400 block of Camden Ave., died Dec. 12, 1995, in Manning Convalescent Home.
Mr. Heart was born in Portsmouth, son of the late Willie Mae and Henry Heart. He was employed with Apex Brass Foundry and attended True Vine Holiness Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Heart of Portsmouth; a stepdaughter, Sharon Whigham of Portsmouth; three sons, Alfred Heart of Newport News, Christopher Heart and George Rayfield Heart Jr., both of Portsmouth; five sisters, Ena Mae Heart, Dorothy Mae Heart, Jeanette Heart, Sylvia M. Heart and Ridder Jean Heart, all of Portsmouth; seven brothers, Henry Heart Jr., Willie Lee Heart, Columbus Heart, Larry Heart, Lesley Heart, Arthur King Heart and Floyd Carl Heart, all of Portsmouth; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Garfield Heart.
A funeral service was held on Dec. 16 in Corprew Funeral Home by Bishop Samuel Moore. The body was cremated.
