Paul M. Cornell, 66, of the 1300 block of Waters Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1995, at his residence.
Mr. Cornell retired from the U.S. Navy in 1968 after 20 years of service and was also retired from civil service at Fort Story with over 20 years of service.
Mr. Cornell was a member of Great Bridge United Methodist Church, Branch 5 of Fleet Reserve Association, and Monticello Masonic Lodge (NU)532, AF & AM, Monticello, N.Y. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara P. Cornell; his stepdaughter, Cyndi S. Osborough of Virginia Beach and his stepson, William T. Stone III of Chesapeake; his brother, Harold E. Cornell and his wife, Senta G. Cornell of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his sister-in-law, Nancy P. Freire of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren, Kealy Lynn Osborough and Kip Thomas Osborough.
A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge by the Rev. Robert Hastings. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sentara Hospice Program, Koger Executive Center, Building (NU)8, Suite 201, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
