Lt. Cmdr. Jack Sewell Hunter, 73, of the 3700 block of Goosebay Drive, died Dec. 20, 1995, in Maryview Hospital.
Mr. Hunter was born in McLean, Va., and retired from the Navy as a chief engineer in 1967. He was a member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and TROA Retired Officers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth M. Hunter; a daughter, Diane Elizabeth Pitta of Florida; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Jane Hunter.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Humane Society.
