Elizabeth Ames Tilghman, 87, of the 100 block of Suburban Parkway, died Dec. 20, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Tilghman, the widow of William Edward Tilghman, was a retired sales lady with Smith and Welton. She was a native of Cape Charles, Va., and a member of Norview Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Elsea of Norfolk and Joyce Butler of Nassawadox, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Lamar Sentell. Burial will be in Cape Charles Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
