Mildred S. Brown, 72, of the 1900 block of Chesapeake Ave., died Dec. 21, 1995, in Chesapeake.
Mrs. Brown was born in South Norfolk, Va., and was the widow of Joseph Earl Brown. She was a retired receptionist for Cameilla Food Stores. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church for more than 50 years. She was a member of the Womens Missionary Council of the church, Niners Senior Citizens Club, and Ladies Auxilliary to the V.F.W. Post (NU)8291.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph E. Brown of Syracuse, N.Y., and J. Richard Brown of Virginia Beach; a granddaughter, Jennie M. Brown of Chesapeake; and a great-grandson, Kevin J. Brown of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Art Slye and the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood in Bethel Assembly of God Church, South Norfolk. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel in charge. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and other times at 1900 Chesapeake Ave., Chesapeake.
