At Norfolk International Airport I found my flight canceled. Disappointed, I planned my next move. Then I heard heavenly voices. The seventh- and eighth-grade chorus of Blair Middle School sang a round of carols, ending with ``Silent Night,'' first in German, then in English, their hands moving in sign language. I was very moved.
The Granby Elementary School Chorus followed with fine singing, fine solos and expressive pantomime. Other choral groups would follow throughout the day.
It was all beautiful: the children, their teachers, the songs. I would have missed this had my flight taken off.
Best wishes for a ``holy, jolly time.''
