Harry Fred Parsons Jr., 57, of Chesapeake Street, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 23, 1995.
He was a member of Community Church of Norfolk and was retired from civil service as a computer systems analyst.
Survivors include his loving companion, Carol Jackson; two daughters, Rebecca P. Fagan of Suffolk and Debra L. Williamson of Norfolk; a son, Michael A. Parsons of Chesapeake; four sisters, Betty Bowles, Peggy Weatherford, Barbara Johansen and Patsy Cartwright; three brothers, Robert Parsons, Richard Parsons and Linwood Parsons; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife and friend, Joyce M. Hobbs, and uncle and dear fried, Gus Pearson.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Pastor Tom Douros. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Contributions may be made to the Community Church of Norfolk.
