Frederick John Petzinger Jr., 83, of the 4500 block of Norman Road, died Dec. 25, 1995 in his home.
Mr. Petzinger, a native of Portsmouth, was a retired electronic engineer from Norfolk Naval Shipyard design division with 40 years of service. He was a 1935 graduate of V.P.I., a former officer and honorary member of the Portsmouth Music Club, and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Boyce Petzinger; a daughter, Gail P. Hassell of Lancaster, Pa.; a son, F.J. "Buddy" Petzinger III, of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Diana McPeck of Raleigh, N.C., and Tracey Landmann of Columbus, Ga.; a great-granddaughter, Nora McPeck.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday by Rev. Paul W. Parker at Foster Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity. The family will receive friends at his home.
