Bernice Vellines ``Billie'' Partin, 75, of 109 Longwood Ave., died Dec. 27, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late William and Bernice Lewis Vellines and the widow of Walter Alexander Partin. Mrs. Partin retired after 50 years of service as the secretary and bookkeeper for National Screen Co. For 54 years she was a member of the Suffolk Christian Church, where she was very active in the choir and bible study.
Survivors include her cousin, Margaret B. Parker of Suffolk; and other extended family, Billie B. Edwards of Boykins, Kimberly Brinkley and Meghan Brinkley both of Suffolk, Glenn Newton of Swannsboro, N.C., Caroline Muller of Virginia Beach.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the graveside in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. Robert B. Marr. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at 101 Constance Woods Drive. Memorial donations may be made to the Suffolk Christian Church or to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad.
