Vernon Boyd ``Bubba'' Eaton Sr., 57, of the 4700 block of Price Circle, died Jan. 1, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Eaton, owner of Thunderbird Trucking Co. Inc., had worked at numerous shipyards in Tidewater through the years. He was a native of Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia H. Eaton; a daughter, Brenda Eaton Weller of Norfolk; a son, Vernon B. Eaton Jr. of Virginia Beach; his mother, Viola C. Eaton of Virginia Beach; and a grandson, James Andrew Eaton of Virginia Beach.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Allen G. Reifsnyder. Memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101.
