Tressy Shaniel Skinner, 29, of the 4300 block of Trafton Arch, passed away in her home and went to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 1, 1996.
She worked for Dr. Steven Powers and Kemp for three and a half years in Chesapeake. She was a native of Lutcher, La., and was a member by baptismal of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Norfolk.
She is survived by a daughter, Adrienne Jannel Skinner; son, Jovan Levar Skinner; mother, Diane Lebray Skinner of Norfolk; father, Sam Skinner Jr. of New Orleans; two sisters, Daphanie Tremy Skinner Carr of Virginia Beach, Natashia Shanet Dildy of Norfolk; stepsister, Sheila Barry of New Orleans; maternal grandmother, Ethel Skinner of New Orleans; two aunts, Barbara Ann Valery of Virginia Beach, Laverne V. Gordon of Lutcher; four uncles, Herman LeBray Jr. of Virginia Beach, Maurice E. Lebray of Lutcher, Reggie LeBray of Norfolk, Jacob Valery of Virginia Beach; and two cousins, Sharlon Eldon Valery of Virginia Beach, and Gloria Broyard.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon today by the Rev. Clarence Russell in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Burial is in Colonial Grove Cemetery, Virginia Beach. Family and friends will assemble at 3412 B Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk, today at 11 a.m. for the funeral procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service in charge.
