Marjorie Barker Carroll, 75, of the 4500 block of Hialeah Drive, died Jan. 5, 1996, in her residence.
She was a native of Yonkers, N.Y., and was the widow of Henry Everette Carroll. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a retired executive assistant with Goodyear Rubber. She graduated from Boston University in 1942.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Naomi Carroll and Steven J. Comer of Virginia Beach; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael P. and Janice M. Carroll of Sunbury, Mass., Henry Everette and Lois S. Carroll II of Groton, Mass.; six grandchildren, Cynthia M. Carroll, Heather-Aidan Comer, Patrick N. Carroll, Jeremy E. Carroll, Larissa E. Carroll, Phillip A. Carroll; one nephew, Anthony Barker of Forest Dale, R.I.; and one niece, Elizabeth Barker of Forest Dale.
Services will be at a later date. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Literacy Council, 680 Fort Washington Ave., New York, N.Y. 10040. The family will receive friends at 4555 Hialeah Drive, Virginia Beach, Saturday, Jan. 20, from 3 to 7 p.m. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is in charge.
