Joan Rebecca VanCleave, 53, of the first block of McLean St., died Jan. 6, 1996, in her residence.
She was a native of Southampton County and was the daughter of William and Jessie Virginia Owens of Portsmouth. She also is survived by three daughters, Linda Horton and Melissa Worrell, both of Portsmouth, and Wanda Wells of Norfolk; one son, Buddy Worrell of Portsmouth; one sister, Erma Bradshaw of Suffolk; one brother, Gene T. Underwood of Portsmouth; four grandchildren, Tonya and Tiffany Horton, Johnathan Wells and Brandon Worrell.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. T.M. Frye. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
