Rosie L. Wells, of the 800 block of Tazewell Street, died Jan. 5, 1996.
She was a native of Moyock, N.C., and was the widow of Richard Wells. She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, and Order of Eastern Star Excelsior (NU)82.
She is survived by a foster son, James Holley of Atlanta, Ga.; an aunt, Maude Summerville of Virginia Beach; two nieces, Mary Hodges and Rosa E. Jenkins, both of Portsmouth; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Thursday in New Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery, Suffolk. The body will be in church at 10:30 a.m. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
