Steve R. Triplett
NORFOLK - Steve R. Triplett, 70, of 3400 Crescent Way, died Jan. 9, 1996, in Granite Falls, N.C., the city of his birth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth J. Triplett.
Mr. Triplett was a retired repairman with C & P Telephone Company. He belonged to the Saint John's United Methodist Church. Mr. Triplett was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers; the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army; the 507 Air Borne Regional and the 17th Air Borne Division.
Mr. Triplett is survived by his mother, Nellie F. Triplett of Granite Falls, N.C.; three sisters, Irene Adams of Granite Falls, N.C., Evelyn Barnes of Las Vegas, Nev., Sylvia Blackwell of Hickory, N.C.; four brothers, Ted L. Triplett of Ft. Mills, S.C., Gene Triplett of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Roger E. Triplett of Lenior, N.C. and Jerry Triplett of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and friends.
The funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gaynor C. Shepherd and the Rev. Ed Martin oficiating at Saint's John's United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel is in charge.
