David Nathaniel White, 79, of Springfield, Va., died suddenly at his home, Dec. 21, 1995. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Cole White; his brother, Bob White and his nephew, Robert White. He lived in Norfolk until 1958.
Mr. White was a civil servant who begin his career with the Department of the Navy in Norfolk, he later retired from the Pentagon in the early 1970s.
Mr. White is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Geoffrey L. Snead of Richmond; son, Jack A. White of Luray; sister, Jeanette S. White of Virginia Beach; his niece Gail White and great-nephews Dane and Neil White, all of Norfolk.
A memorial service will be held at the home of his daughter on Jan. 20.
