Willie ``Mommas'' Minerva Sawyer-Hall, 45, of the 1700 block of Todd St., died Jan. 11, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General.
Mrs. Sawyer-Hall was born in Norfolk and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake. She was a nurses' aid.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel C. Hall Jr.; two daughters, Maria J. Sawyer and Eboni A. Hankins, both of Norfolk; two sons, Marcellus L. Sawyer of Norfolk and Jerome J. Case of Augusta, Ga.; parents, Jeanette Sawyer and Edward Lee Sawyer Sr., both of Norfolk; two sisters, Edna L. Dickerson and Mary M. Sawyer, both of Chesapeake; a brother, Edward Lee Sawyer Jr.; three brothers-in-law, Leroy Smith, Ronn C. Smith, Raymond Hall; three nieces, Karen Sawyer, Khadeya Richardson, Tylea Pressley; two stepsons, Tyrone Hall and Deangilo Hall; three nephews, Garry Pressley, Andre Sawyer, Dexter Diaz; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Sawyer and Clara Scipio; two aunts, Altesser Cuffie and Addie Johnson; and an uncle, Frank Sawyer.
The funeral will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Jake Manley in Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery. Metropolitan Funeral Service in charge. Family and friends will receive friends at 1713 Selden Ave., Norfolk. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
