CLARENCE HALL

Clarence ``Shorty'' Hall, 68, of the 3900 block of Anchor Ave., died Jan. 12, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.

A native of Appleton, Wis., Mr. Hall was a retired U.S. Navy senior chief after 23 years of service and was also retired from Smithfield Packing, Norfolk. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea.

Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Hall; two daughters, Sharon Nixon and Rhonda Quidgeon of Portsmouth; three sons, Ronald Hall of Portsmouth, Daniel Hall and Raymond Hall of Chesapeake; a sister, Josephine Giese; a brother, Clements Hall; five grandchildren; and a special niece, Pat Lenz of Gillet, Wis.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Keith Lewis. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, in charge. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
