Evelyn L. Bailey, 89, of the 300 block of Gallbush Rd., died Jan. 13, 1996, in her home.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Norfolk and had retired as a bookkeeper from Bailey's Garage. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Charles H. Bailey and was predeceased by a daughter, Martha Bailey Toler and a sister, Rosalie Kennedy.
She is survived by two daughters, Majorie Caldwell of Fairfax and Mildred Furlough of Chesapeake; a sister, Medora O'Neal of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel with the Rev. William E. Amon officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
