Michael A. Russell, 38, of the 2300 block of Cary Ave., died Jan. 6, 1996.
Mr. Russell was a landscaper and had worked formerly with Wynn Nursery. He was predeceased by his father, Oscar Pittman.
Survivors include a daughter, Michele Jones of Norfolk; a son, Donald Jones of Norfolk; his mother, Evangeline Pittman of New York; his grandmother, Rosa M. Russell of Norfolk; two grandchildren; and a host of family members and loved ones.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mark United Church of Christ with the Rev. Thomas Hart officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 2324 Cary Avenue where they will assemble one hour prior to service. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
