Orgret Linwood Roberts, 66, of the 400 block of Mclean St., died Jan. 11, 1996, in Brent Lox Hall Nursing Home.
Mr. Roberts was born in Isle of Wight County and had retired after 34 years from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a former member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Windsor. He was the son of the late Eddie C. and Mary Bostic Roberts and the widower of Rosa Roberts.
Survivors include a brother, Enoch Roberts of Portsmouth; a sister-in-law, Priscilla Roberts of Portsmouth; an uncle, Haywood Bostic of Windsor; a nephew, Klarince Roberts of Brooklyn; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Leland Chapman officiating. Burial will be in the Bostic Family Cemetery in Windsor. A viewing will begin at 2 p.m. today in Wyatt & Sons Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. on Monday. Family and friends will assemble at the church at 12:30 p.m. Monday for the procession.
