Dorothy Brown Sewell, 67, died Jan. 13, 1996, in a local hospital.
She was a native of Long Beach, Calif. and a former member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher A. and Linda M. Sewell of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Shelina C. and Jenelle K. Sewell, both of Chesapeake.
A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Great Bridge Evangelical Free Church on Mt. Pleasant Road, Chesapeake with Pastor Jim Hennewell presiding. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
