Leon L. Simmons, of the 3300 block of Sandy St., died Jan. 15, 1996.
He was a native of Princess Anne County and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Virginia Beach.
He is survived by eight sisters, Inez Hawkins, Eula Kennedy, Dorothy Ames, Joyce White, Cornelia Harris, and Brenda Ford, all of Norfolk, Gail Harris of Raleigh, N.C., Margaret Griggs of Chesapeake; four brothers, Vernon Simmons of Winsor, Va. Charlie Collins, Randy Collins and Kelvin Collins, all of Norfolk; an aunt; an uncle; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday by the Rev. C.K. Jones in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Burial is in Jones Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Community Funeral Home is in charge.
