Larry Mason Evans, 41, of the 1500 block of Laurel Ave., died Jan. 17, 1996.
He was a merchant seaman for Morania Oil Transportation, trading as Penn Maritime. He was a native of Portsmouth and was a member of Seafarers International Union, Norfolk. He also enjoyed attending J.B.'s Gallery of Girls.
He is survived by his wife, Sheree Twiddy Evans; daughter, Amber Nichole Evans of Virginia Beach; three sons, Joseph Wayne Evans, Warren Michael Evans and Adam Matthew Evans, all of Virginia Beach; sister, Carolyn Patricia Dykes of Chesapeake; father, Sammy Michael Evans of Chesapeake; brother, Michael Gregory Evans Sr. of Alexandria, Va.; two grandchildren, Katlyn Evans of Chesapeake and Kristofer Evans of Virginia Beach; and stepmother, Agnes Evans of Chesapeake; two daughters-in-law, Christine Evans of Chesapeake, and Angela Evans of Virginia Beach. He was predeceased by his mother, the late Evelyn Louise Mason Evans.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Burial will be private and at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service.
