Lt. Cmdr. David A. Purington, U.S. Navy retired, formerly of 1529 Little Horseshoe Drive, Virginia Beach, died Jan. 16, 1996.
He was the beloved father of two sons, Dylan A. Purington, the late David A. Purington Jr.; and a daughter, Danielle A. Purington of Virginia Beach. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters, Janice L. Purington of Ashland, Mass., and Diane E. (Purington) Parrella of Medway, Mass.; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, 601 Children's Lane, Norfolk, Va. 23507. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Congregational Church, Holliston. Chesmore Funeral Home, Holliston, is in charge.
