Larry Mason Evans, 41, of the 1500 block of Laurel Ave., died Jan. 17, 1996.
Mr. Evans, a merchant seaman, worked for Morania Oil Transportation Trading as Penn Maritime. He was a native of Portsmouth and a member of Seafarers International Union, Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Sheree Twiddy Evans; a daughter, Amber Nicole Evans of Virginia Beach; three sons, Joseph Wayne Evans, Warren Michael Evans and Adam Matthew Evans, all of Virginia Beach; his father, Sammy Michael Evans of Chesapeake; a sister, Carolyn Patricia Dykes of Chesapeake; a brother, Michael Gregory Evans Sr. of Alexandria, Va.; two grandchildren, Katlyn Evans of Chesapeake, Kristofer Evans of Virginia Beach; stepmother, Agnes Evans of Chesapeake; two daughters-in-law, Christine Evans of Chesapeake and Angela Evans of Virginia Beach. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Louise Mason Evans.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral.
