Dr. L. Jack Young Jr., 44, of the 400 block of Crawford Creek, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 1996, in Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Young was a native and former resident of Chesapeake. A doctor of dentistry, he had a private practice in Rockingham. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockingham.
Surviving are two daughters, Angela Nicole Young and Katherine Paige Young, both of Rockingham; his parents, L. Jack Young Sr. and Shirley Windley Young of Gates, N.C.; a sister, Debi Rose of Currituck, N.C.; and his maternal grandmother, Virginia Windley of Gates.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Meadowbrook Mausoleum by the Rev. Roscoe Musselwhite. Friends may join the family Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in Twiford's Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
