STANTON P. DUNLAP

Capt. Stanton P. Dunlap, USN (Ret.) succumbed to cancer at his home on Jan. 13, 1996.

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Class of 1957, Capt. Dunlap was a Naval aviator. Capt. Dunlap held a master of science degree in safety and systems analysis and a Ph.D. in risk assessment and loss control management. He was a Mason and a member of Araba Temple.

Survivors include his wife, Dorri; two sons, Stanton and Chris, and their wives, Julie and Anne; three granddaughters, Abby Parks, Mariah Catherine and Alyssa Anne, all of Virginia Beach; a sister, Rowan Dunlap Elsom; nieces, Diane, Jennifer and Kathie; uncles, the Honorable John W. Parks of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Rear Adm. A.R. Matter of Naples, Fla.

Capt. Dunlap was the son of the late Rear Adm. Stanton Baldwin Dunlap and Abby Parks Dunlap.

Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery on Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Naval Academy Alumni Association Class of 1957 fund.
