CHESTER J. BERRY, JR.

Chester ``Jack'' Berry, Jr. 79, of Virginia Beach, died Jan. 25, 1996, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Berry was a native of Washington, D.C. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. He was a Captain in the 503rd Infantry Division of the U.S. Army. He retired from the Washington Star Newspaper as Advertising Production Manager after working there from 1934 to 1974.

Survivors include his wife, Carol F. Berry of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Maureen C. Berry of Sparta, N.J., Colleen B. Adler of Greenville, Texas; two sons, Father Dennis M. Berry of Silver Spring, Md., Patrick K. Berry of Sparta, N.J.; and two grandsons, Zachary and Justin Adler of Greenville.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday Jan. 29, 1996 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church by Father Dennis M. Berry. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 1996, at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Trinity Missions, 9001 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, Md. 20903. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
