HUBERT A. MCADAMS

Hubert A. McAdams, 73, of the 400 block of Lavender Lane, died Jan. 23, 1996, in his residence.

Mr. McAdams, a retired U.S. Navy petty officer first class, was a native of Gloucester, Ga. He was the widower of Lillian B. McAdams and a Southern Baptist. Mr. McAdams was a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Jean Brice of Faulkville, Ala.; a son, Mark A. McAdams of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Eula Langford of Tucker, Ga., and Betty Bowden of Clarkston, Ga.; a brother, Horace McAdams of Decula, Ga.; and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. Burial is in Floral Gardens Memorial in Tucker. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Norfolk Unit, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk 23513. The body will be sent to Lowndes and McLane Funeral Home, Tucker, for a service Monday at 10 a.m.
