AMANDUS A. GETZ

Amandus Aliman Getz, 89, of the 4800 block of Milan Drive, died Jan. 25, 1996 in a Portsmouth hospital.

A native of Glen Spey, N.Y., Mr. Getz was a retired self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a member of Port Jarvis Masonic Lodge (NU)328, Port Jarvis, N.Y.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy White Getz; a daughter, Jane Getz West of Suffolk; a brother, Elmer Getz of Barryville, N.Y.; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service, with Masonic Rites, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Loving Funeral Home Churchland with Rev. Donald Seely officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the residence at 4829 Milan Drive, Portsmouth.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 3312 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth 23703.
