JAMES JORDAN

James ``Kelly'' Jordan, 77, of Columbia Avenue, died Jan. 27, 1996, in DePaul Hospital.

Mr. Jordan, a retired railroad car repair mechanic, worked for Norfolk and Western. He was a native of Chowan County, N.C., and a Baptist. Mr. Jordan was a member of TCU Transportation Communication UnionPocahontas-Unit.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nellie Jordan; two daughters, Geneva Richards and her husband, Jimmy of Richmond, Va., and Betty J. Bigger of Midlothian, Va.; four grandsons, Paul Lesley Liverman, James Kelly Richards, both of Virginia Beach, William Bradley Bigger of Raleigh, N.C., and Wesley Bruce Bigger of Redondo, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Jimmy B. Richards II and Jennifer Noel Richards, both of Virginia Beach.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial is in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
