Dorothy White Getz, 87, of the 4800 block of Milan Drive, died Jan. 31, 1996, in a Portsmouth Hospital.
She was a homemaker and the widow of Amandus Getz. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Rainbow Circle. She was a past matron of River Valley Chapter (NU)33, Order of the Eastern Star in Port Jervis, N.Y., and a member of Fellowship Chapter (NU)140, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a native of Glen Spey, N.Y.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Getz West of Suffolk; two sisters, Hazel Smith of Port Jervis and Pearl Reidl of Narrowsburg, N.Y.; brother, Gordon White of Eldred, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Donald Seely in Centenary United Methodist Church with an Eastern Star Service. Burial is in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Loving Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the Getz residence at other times. The family suggests memorial contributions to Centenary United Methodist Church.
