If you use candles and or a kerosene heater, keep a fire
extinguisher nearby. Make sure every member of the family knows how
to use it.
Store your kerosene outside the house. And make sure it is
kerosene, not gasoline. Gasoline will explode if used in a kerosene
heater.
Don't sleep too close to a fireplace. Bedding can catch fire.
Bring your pets inside. Near-record lows are expected Monday
morning.
If your car is disabled, open a window to let fresh air in. Toxic
fumes from the engine can be deadly.
Don't pull sleds behind cars. An injury could be fatal.
