Dennis Brian Bohrer, 48, of the 700 block of Wickford Drive, died Feb. 2, 1996, in Texas.
Mr. Bohrer, a quality assurance specialist, worked for Norfolk Naval Shipyard for 24 years. He was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and the vice president of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Golf Association. He was very active with youth athletics and Little League. Mr. Bohrer served in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam and received two Purple Hearts and a Medal of Honor.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia G. ``Pat'' Bohrer; two sons, Jeff Bohrer and Steven Bohrer, both of Portsmouth; his mother, June A. Bohrer of Virginia Beach; his father, Harold L. Bohrer of Virginia Beach; a brother, David Bohrer of Orrville, Ohio; a grandchild, Courtney Bohrer of Portsmouth; and a niece and nephew.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Rosewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, is in charge.
