Ruth Alma Curtis, 80, of the 100 block of Hurdle Drive, died Monday Feb. 5, 1996, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. Curtis was born in Knoxville, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Weaver Witt and the widow of Hazel Lee Curtis.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Henry of Chesapeake; her son, William Donald Curtis Sr. of Mechanicsville, Va.; her sister, Margaret McKenzie of Raleigh, N.C.; her two brothers, Carl Witt and Albert Witt, both of Knoxville; and her grandchildren, Darlene Curtis and William Donald Curtis Jr., both of Mechanicsville.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
